Solid shell Legacy Custom 5.5" x 14" N. American Birdseye Maple snare with a low to mid range fundamental pitch. This solid shell snare has been finished with a water-based UV resistant polyurethane. All hardware except the hoops are designed in-house and machined from solid brass, bronze, or a custom bronze alloy.

Solid Shell Construction

  • Every snare shell is constructed of a single piece of wood that is steam-bent.

Simplified Unibody Lug

  • A simple but elegant unibody lug that eliminates all moving parts found in modern lugs (springs, swivel nuts, etc) that will break down over time and create unwanted rattling.

Machined Tension Rods

  • Our tension rods are made from either stainless steel or a custom bronze alloy, making them incredibly strong and able to endure the test of time.
  • Always machined from solid materials and never plated or cast from cheaper alloys.

Thoughtful Hardware Design

  • All hardware is comprised of solid brass to maximize shell resonance, 7076 aluminum, or stainless steel.
  • All hardware is made to fit the natural curvature of the shell.
