Adjust & Play On-The-Fly

Set the snare position anywhere along the entire moveable range without having to lock the position in place.
Simply slide the handle to adjust & play on-the-fly.
The amount of force needed to turn the handle is completely under your control by a single friction adjustment screw.

Simple Design & Silent Operation

Both the snare wire tension (how tight the snare wires are) and snare wire position (near or far to the reso head) are adjusted using a single movement of the handle.
This simple design provides for an ultra-quiet operation as well as providing ultimate simplicity of operation.

Compact & Durable

Weighing just 4.02 oz (114.1g) in aluminum, or 10.54 oz (298.7g) in brass, & only 2 7/8" tall (73mm), the NATO-1™ XL is hands-down among the smallest & lightest throw offs on the market today.

The NATO-1 XL ships in 12 fixed spacing options from 3/8" to 1 11/16" (9.53mm to 42.86mm). These are specific spacings, not a continuously adjustable range. The Original NATO-1 has four spacing options from 3/8" to 1 3/8".
